
Guanajuato, Gto., November 28, 2018.- Odalys Estefanía García Montelongo, student of the fifth semester of the HS León obtained silver medal in the national Taekwondo selective 2018 carried out in Tuxtla Gutierrez, Chiapas.
With this result the talented young woman has half a ticket to the Pan American Games in Lima 2019, Odalys won the sub-championship in adult category of 49 kilograms by beating four opponents to be placed in the semifinals.
For his part, her trainer Jose Argüello, teacher of the middle School of León, great support and an important piece in the achievements of Odalys, commented that this result is the fruit of the effort and dedication that the athlete shows day by day in the training.
For Odalys is an important achievement in her career since she began his passion for this sport at 8 years old in which she has achieved great results as the following: Silver medal in the National Olympiad 2013, bronze medal at the US Open Las Vegas 2014 , silver in the National Open Mexiquense G3, gold medal in Veracruz in 2016, bronze medal at the National Olympics in 2017, gold medal in the Challenger Puebla, silver medal in the open Pan-American of Costa Rica, bronze medal in the Mexican Taekwondo Open.
Odalys García thanked those who supported her "my parents Blas and Patricia who have always trusted Me", her professor Argüello and the professors who supported her in the event as Enrique Alfaro and Jaime Gómez. He said he will continue on his way to prepare to obtain the ticket and represent the country, the state, the University of Guanajuato and his school in the international competition.
