Guanajuato, Gto., December 18, 2018.- The month of December is very conducive to consumption as people look for gifts and take advantage to make the latest purchases of the year, in this sense the professor and researcher at the University of Guanajuato, Dr. Ricardo Alejandro Rodríguez Lara spoke about the importance to be a responsible consumer and to support fair trade.
The University professor pointed out that at this Christmas time the purchase is stimulated through advertising and that companies develop various strategies and campaigns aimed at consumers. He stressed that today with globalization and market openness there is more competition and therefore consumers have multiple options to choose the product that most convinces them.
He stressed that now the consumer is more informed, so it makes more rational decisions at the time of purchase and compares the quality of the product, materials with which it is made, durability, among other features.
In addition, he said "there is a growing number of companies that are aware that the sale is regulated and with the use of new technologies, companies that do not comply with the regulations are denounced by the consumers themselves by tagging them in their social media".
Dr. Rodríguez Lara also indicated that nowadays companies have many challenges such as sustainability as society demands environmental care and another of the challenges is that their products are inclusive and that in your company there are values through programs in which gender equity, inclusion and legality are respected.
Some suitable consumption habits were appointed by the University researcher, who relieved that in principle one must be aware of what is really needed and solve the necessities.
After being in a shop or shopping mall is necessary to compare options and observe the alternatives they must acquire, compare prices is also suitable for "make the money."
"Consumer habits should first consider what is really necessary and eventually what is desired or luxury, that is an important part of our education as consumers," he concluded.
