
Guanajuato, Gto., February 11, 2019.- In order to influence the strengthening of the social fabric and promote actions of social impact, the President of the University of Guanajuato (UG), Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino announced that two new projects will be launched: UG area and Citizenship in the company.
Zona UG will be focused on redoubling security efforts, starting from the premise that the university does not belong to the operational part, but it can contribute to the solution of this problem in the different offices and university spaces, as well as to raise the needs of the community to the Government, along with the commitment of the House of Studies.
"Our thing is in the prevention, the detection of the problems, in the anticipation of the same ones, in the culture of the self-care, in the co-responsibility with the authorities with regard to this matter," said Dr. Guerrero Agripino.
The other program is citizenship in the company. On this, he explained that he will seek to influence the families of the workers of the companies, through the axes culture of the legality, approximation to art and culture, culture of the self-care and interest by the science.
At this point, he added that "as the person has access to other life possibilities, a different empathy is created, and a better citizenship is built." He anticipated that the cost will be covered by the entrepreneurs and the resources obtained will be allocated to the Regional Equity program.
The foregoing was announced in the context of the delivery of certificates of participation to students who participated as speakers in the courses "building a culture for peace" and "the right in your community", which were directed to the community University and the public in general, and that they had as purpose to pay to the culture of the legality.
UG's President recalled that in the program Citizenship UG is essential the involvement of the student community, so he expressed his appreciation to the students of the Division of Law, Politics and Government who participated in these courses, as well as the other actors who made it possible.
The rector of the Guanajuato Campus, Dr. Teresita de Jesús Rendon Huerta Barrera also recognized the efforts of young people who participated as speakers and argued that it should continue working for the culture of legality have deep roots and become a sign of everyday life.
Representing those who received recognitions, Oscar Cristóbal Pulido Hernández gave a message, who considered that citizenship UG constitutes a niche of opportunities for students, so he invited other young people to join and become the agents of change that society needs.
At the beginning of the ceremony, the Director of the Department of Law, Dr. Leandro Eduardo Astrain Bañuelos mentioned that the program Citizenship requires a strong link with different social sectors. In this case, we worked with the Center for Educational and Cultural research and Promotion (CIPEC) A.C.
The General Director of CIPEC, Eng. Leticia Camino Muñoz, expressed his gratitude for this sum of efforts that seek to result in better communities, and that citizens know their rights and obligations.
The event was held in the academic cloister "Maestros Enrique Cardona Arizmendi and Cuauhtemoc Ojeda Rodríguez", where university authorities, students and academics were present.
