Guanajuato, Gto., February 8, 2019.- The company Outotec, a leader in technology sales for the mining-metallurgical industry, donated a flotation cell and HSC Chemistry software to the Engineering Division of Campus Guanajuato of the University of Guanajuato (UG), tools that can be used by students and professors of the Department of Mines, Metallurgy and Geology.

The professor and researcher of this department, Dr. Mario Corona explained that the company Outotec made the donation of "a 50 liters tank cell, this will serve us a lot in the area of teaching so that our students know the new technologies that are Used in mining. It is an important donation because it allows us to be at the forefront and remain a leading university."

At the reception ceremony, the rector of the Guanajuato Campus, Dr. Teresita de Jesús Rendon Huerta Barrera thanked the company for the act of generosity and solidarity with the University of Guanajuato, since in addition to the donation of the cell and 15 software licenses, they will also perform a training to use the equipment.

The Director of the Division of Engineering, Dr. Enrique Mendoza Puga stressed the importance of linking the academy with the industry and said that the donation is an example of this, while the Director of the Department of Mines, Metallurgy and Geology, Eng. Juan Esteban García Dobarganes mentioned that the cell and the software will train the students at a very high level and increase their knowledge of the mining industry.

The event was attended by executives from the company Outotec who were thanked and invited to cut the ribbon of the equipment in the Metallurgy laboratory.
