Guanajuato, Gto., February 1, 2019.- The Grever Ensemble is a musical grouping of two young university students, the soprano Samantha Guevara and the pianist Carlos de Anda, which emerged two years ago with the intention of spreading the music of the renowned Mexican composer, María Grever.
María Grever was a composer who was born in the city of León, Guanajuato and wrote music for concerts, films and various boleros that have marked the history of Mexican music. She was also the orchestra director and his music transcended internationally.
Soprano Samantha Guevara is a high school student at the Department of Music of the University of Guanajuato, she studied in the children's section of that institution, since then, music has become her passion and at her young age she has been presented in various scenarios in which she always talks about the importance of music in our lives and how it evokes indescribable emotions.
The repertoire of the ensemble focuses on Grever's works but both Samantha Guevara and Carlos de Anda have the interest of spreading the Mexican music, so they also perform works by Consuelo Velázquez and Manuel M. Ponce. As for composers from another country, they have performed concerts that adhere to Mozart's interpretation.
To celebrate its second anniversary, this year the Grever Ensemble is preparing its first album to be recorded thanks to the support of the Department of Music of the University of Guanajuato, the album will be called "Forever Grever" and will be presented in the June.
Samantha Guevara mentioned that the record production will be integrated mostly by Grever songs as "Júrame", "Te quiero, dijiste", "Cuando vuelva a tu lado", they will also record "Bésame mucho" by Consuelo Velázquez and from Manuel M. Ponce "Estrellita", "Lejos de ti" among other pieces.
Finally, the soprano emphasized that the ensemble Grever emerged from the need to disseminate Mexican music and that of the renowned composer of Guanajuato and make the young audience continue listening.
