
Guanajuato, Gto., February 20, 2019.- Students at Newton North High School in Boston, USA, participated in a cultural exchange with students from the High School Guanajuato at the University of Guanajuato (UG).
As part of the internationalization program, students from Newton North High School with whom 22 years of bonding friendship were met, whose objective is cultural exchange among countries, as well as to know the culture and the system of teaching at the Upper Middle Level of the University of Guanajuato.
Seventeen students and 3 professors made the cultural journey in which they had the opportunity to exchange experiences and interact with young people from the HS Guanajuato, also took classes in biology, chemistry and English and participated in a laboratory practice.
During a visit to the Principal's Office of the High School College (CNMS), Principal J. Merced Rizo Carmona welcomed the delegation thanking them for their stay at UG, the students commented that this trip has been an unforgettable experience, they thanked the families who hosted them and the University of Guanajuato for opening their doors and receiving them in different spaces.
Prof. Rosa Elena Lima Gómez, is the pioneer of this program that dates from the year 1997 and the responsible for maintaining the ties of friendship with both institutions, at the beginning of the program were made exchanges each year and a few years to date, are held every two years , has only been suspended in an edition, for the regrettable events of September 11, 2001.
Now the delegation of HS Guanajuato prepares to visit Boston in April for which 17 students and two professors were already selected, and thus consolidate the internationalization program.
