Guanajuato, Gto., February 22,  2019.- With a high attendance and sponsored by the student group "Altruism UG" and the Network of Professors of Labor Law, it was developed in the auditorium of the Division of Law, Politics and Government (DDPG) of the Guanajuato Campus of the University of Guanajuato (UG), the "Sex Work" panel.

The moderator of this meeting, Juan René Segura Ricaño, noted that it would be a controversial issue, but it is precisely at the University where all voices must be heard; therefore, this matter would be addressed with a comprehensive vision and under five aspects: philosophical, human rights, medical, public policy and the absence of legal labor treatment.

In principle, Dr. Francisco M. Mora Sifuentes developed the subject from the philosophical point of view, and presented diverse opinions regarding the sexual "work", the moral judgment that is made of the same, the criticism and defense, the feminist perspective because in its immense Most of this problem concerns women and the distinction in positive morality and critical morality, among other aspects.

For her part, Dr. Ericka López Sánchez, research professor at the Department of Political Studies, ruled that, in an analysis of prostitution, this phenomenon should not be considered the "oldest profession in the world", but the exploitation, slavery and the older gender violence that men invented to subdue and keep women at their sexual disposition.

It Is a form of exploitation that must be abolished, she said, and the fact that it is paid is a "job", because there are no guarantees, commodified the body itself, not offered "services" but is granted "access" to the body in a specific way that in any other work is done; therefore it should not be surprising that the one who exerts the prostitution, is of the lowest scale of the social structure, so impoverished that they do not have even labor force because what they have commodified is their dignity.

She also believed that regulating prostitution, as was done in Germany, implies validating patriarchal relations, and is tantamount to accepting a model of asymmetric relations between men and women; well, although the German model legalized the activity with the idea of improving the conditions of the people, it did not work because it continues to be dealing and exploitation.

Dr. Monserrat Olivos Fuentes approached the subject from the perspective of human rights and recalled that this phenomenon opens a gap of inequality, and even the sexual division of work, i.e. men and women, has led to stereotypes that curb the Significant advances in society.

At another time, Dr. Uriel Franco Ruiz, forensic doctor and professor of the DDPG argued that sexuality is the existence and consistency of the human being, because through sexuality we move, but also this activity has generated a mental dichotomy because everything related to sexuality generates pleasure but is forbidden, so the feelings of guilt are given; while Georgina Villafaña Castillo, a professor of Labour Law, developed that subject under the magnifying glass of the Federal Labour Law.

The students who are part of the group Altruism UG, thanked the teachers for their participation in the panel "Sexual Work", a topic "for some controversial", they recognized, but that as a social phenomenon should not be ignored.
