
Ana Claudia Carranco was one of the 60 selected at the national level to be part of the Talentum University program
Guanajuato, Gto., March 6, 2019.- Of approximately 14000 students from all over the country, Ana Claudia Carranco Flores, a student of the international Trade degree at the University of Guanajuato (UG) was one of the 60 young people selected to participate in the Talentum University program that promotes the development of student leaders.
The call is made by the Center for Economic Research and teaching (CIDE), through the interdisciplinary program on politics and educational practices, and aims to find university students with an outstanding school trajectory, who are also distinguished by their social commitment, to boost their talent with an integral extracurricular training.
In its fourth edition, the theme was "Solutions for a fair, prosperous and inclusive Mexico", so the selected 60 developed a project aimed at providing solutions to social problems.
Ana Claudia Carranco Flores was the only representative of the state of Guanajuato, and she did so with a project to address gender violence in adolescents between 13 and 17 years old. Her team produced a page called "Dani's Handbook", which provides information to sensitize and detect this problem, especially among high school students.
After this stage, called "Reto Talentum", an international tour takes place, this time it was to the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where the projects of the Mexican students were evaluated.
In this regard, Ana Claudia Carranco explained that during a month they participated in academic activities in three universities related to diverse themes that favor a comprehensive and multidisciplinary training. The first part of the day was academic activities, such as workshops and lectures; In the afternoon were events of historical, social and cultural content, as well as meetings with characters that help you to have a very broad perspective, she said.
Upon returning to Mexico, Talentum offers to university students two days of shadow practice with Mexican leaders who work in an area that is of interest to the development of university students. In the case of Claudia Carranco, due to her interest in working in the automotive industry in the area of auditing, the practice was in the Rassini company.
At the end of all the stages of the program, Talentum University gives recognition to the participants and their institutions of origin, in which it remarks the training of excellence that it offers to its students, which allowed them to win a place in the program.
On her participation, the eighth semester International Trade student appreciated the support of the authorities of the University of Guanajuato, her family and the sponsors of the program. At the same time, she urged his colleagues to make stays in other institutions and get involved in projects that as students must make Mexico a better country.
