Guanajuato, Gto., March 19, 2019.- With the aim of promoting the complementary training of its students, and within the framework of the University's Social Responsibility, the University of Guanajuato (UG) and the Prosecutor's Office of the Defense of the Taxpayer (PRODECON) signed an agreement that will allow Students to provide their social service and/or professional practices in this unit.

In this way, students will be able to contribute their knowledge in areas related to their study disciplines, and thereby enrich their training in different activities that they develop in the Office of the Procurator.

PRODECON is a public agency specializing in tax matters, providing free guidance, counseling, consultation, legal representation and defense, research, reception and processing of complaints and claims against acts or omissions of federal tax authorities that violate the rights of taxpayers.

Consequently, UG students will be able to support these activities, such as advising taxpayers to regularize their fiscal situation or resolve conflicts with tax authorities.

It is important to mention that the promoter of the Convention was Víctor Muro Salinas, professor of the Department of Finance and Administration of the Division of Social and Administrative Sciences of the Celaya-Salvatierra Campus, who managed the agreement with the prosecutor's Office of the defense of the taxpayer.
