They obtained a gold medal, two silver and three bronze.

Guadalajara, Jal., a 3 de abril de 2019.- Students and professors from the high schools of Salvatierra, Guanajuato and Centro Histórico León obtained gold, silver and bronze medals in the thirteenth edition of the "Latin American Student Science and Technology Projects Contest", (Infomatrix) held in the city of Guadalajara.

The students developed a scientific-technological-social project, under a very personal approach, exhorting the use of creativity and technical skill.

Salvatierra High School in the scientific divulgation category obtained gold medal with the project "Copitas" in which the students Cosette Durán Castillo, Héctor González Rodríguez and Alan Gonzalo Castanedo Guerrero will represent Mexico in the continental fair in Brazil. In addition, with the project "Down an Action" The students Maria Guadalupe Montoya Rosas and Naomi Lark Vázquez Silva obtained silver medal, both teams counted on the advice and accompaniment of Guillermo Caballero Tinajero, which has been a very important pillar in obtaining these results.

The Centro Historico León High School obtained bronze medal with the application "Connect Knowledge", in the software development category of the student Estafania Saucedo Tamayo and the advice of Professor Fernando Torres Pérez, while the Students Citlali Rosas García and Paulina Ascencio Cienega obtained a silver medal with the scientific tale "Unraveling knots", with the advice of Frida Reyes Velázquez.

Dr. Claudia Erika Morales of the Guanajuato High School advised two teams, both obtained bronze medal: in the project "Help Atronic", in the category of robotics, participated the girls of elementary school; Lili Sofia Resendiz, Hanny Guadalupe García Granados and Dana Sofía Escobar Carrillo, who are part of the project "Scientific gangs"; while the project "BeeMap", in the software development category, Benjamin Rivera Covarrubias and Maximino Roberto Tapia García are middle school students who also participated.

It should be mentioned that the teachers had an outstanding participation since Dr. Claudia Erika Morales participated as speaker at the event and was an evaluator, as well as Ma. Del Carmen Rodríguez Robelo, and professors Guillermo Caballero and Miguel Ángel Ruiz Torres.

It is important to emphasize that the Latin American Society of Applied Science and Technology A.C. (SOLACYT) in coordination with the International Informatics Project Competition (INFOMATRIX) and the Ibero-American Science organization were the organizers of the event.
