Of equal importance the program of food Engineering since 1982 has formed professionals capable of innovating in the production, transformation and use of the alimentary sources seeking the safety, quality and biotechnological innovation in liaison with the industry.
At the undergraduate level, the quality recognition schemes are three: the evaluation processes by agencies such as the Inter-institutional committees for the Evaluation of Higher Education (CIEES). Accreditation processes by some accrediting body recognized by the Council for the accreditation of Higher Education, A.C. (COPAES), as was the case of agronomy and food. And the recognition processes of high academic performance undergraduate programs (IDAP-CENEVAL).
A quality educational program may have one or the three types of recognition mentioned.
