
Guanajuato, Gto., May 13, 2019.- The Council of Accreditation of Social, Accounting and Administrative Sciences in the Higher Education of Latin America A.C. (CACSLA) granted recognitions of international accreditation to the educational programs of degree in quality and productivity administration and degree in international trade of the Division of Economic Administration Sciences (DCEA) of the University of Guanajuato (UG).
At the awards ceremony, the President of the University of Guanajuato, Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino congratulated students, professors, graduates and administrative staff who integrate the educational programs as their effort reflects high quality educational levels.
He distinguished that it is important that the student community that enters the educational programs of the University of Guanajuato has references of excellence. "What we perceive today we do with great honor and with an enormous commitment, that of situating ourselves in the present to transcend in the future and to become what the society expects of its public university".
For her part, the Rector of the Guanajuato Campus, Dr. Teresita de Jesús Rendon Huerta Barrera mentioned that the accreditation implies a continuous improvement and a greater competitiveness of its graduates. In order to obtain the international accreditation, aspects such as: infrastructure, teachers, students, curriculum, research level, among others, were evaluated.
The rector of Guanajuato Campus expressed "the pride and satisfaction of this achievement that opens new perspectives towards the future". Subsequently, the director of DCEA, Dr. Claudia Susana Gómez López spoke about the importance of the quality of the educational programs, she indicated that in DCEA, 100% of the programs are recognized by their quality at national level and 43% has international recognition. She endorsed the commitment to continue looking for international accreditations and thus contribute to the institutional goals.
To conclude the CACSLA president, Dr. Eduardo Avalos Lira reflected on the challenges of international competition and explored the potential of the state and the country in education, tourism, gastronomy, etc.
He explained that international accreditation opens the door to the possibility of managing international funds and emphasized that universities are the element that can contribute to the advancement and development of the country.
In this way, the University of Guanajuato confirms its commitment to the educational quality that impact in a positive way in the integral formation of its student community.
