
Celaya, Gto., May 6, 2019.- The students of Civil engineering of the Campus Celaya-Salvatierra members of the delegation of the National Association of Students of Civil Engineering (ANEIC) UG-Guanajuato returned home with 13 medals who participated in the XXXV OlimpiANEIC 2019 held in the City of Torreón, Coahuila from May 1 to 5.
During that week, the students showed in intense competitions the talents they have acquired in their training as civil engineers; academic, technical, sporting, cultural and human development talents.
Each year, civil engineering students from 82 public and private universities throughout the country organize the annual congress of the Association and, within it, celebrate the OlimpiANEIC in which more than a thousand competitors show their strengths representing their respective institutions in the competitions.
On this occasion, they got 13 medals in the different disciplines, highlighting the successes achieved in hydraulics and chemistry, where for the first time this delegation manages to win, which corresponded to Beatriz Barragán Guerrero, who obtained the silver medal in hydraulics and José Manuel García Nuñez, who brought the bronze medal in chemistry.
Also highlighted in the competition Alexander Benjamin Amolitos Estrella to get first place in chess and Dulce Vianey Arcos Flores for her outstanding participation in declamation, where she won the bronze medal.
In sports, in Box, the second place was for Felipe Emmanuel Silva Garcia and the same level reached Arturo Gómez Oliveros, Adán Guadalupe Santana Ramírez, Juan Jesús Rodríguez Álvarez, Raúl Sierra López, Luis Adrián Pérez Soria, Ignacio Enrique Franco Porras, Roberto Núñez Barber, in the flag football competition.
In the technical competitions, the students of Civil engineering of the Celaya-Salvatierra Campus, carried out theoretical knowledge on concrete cubes; where Felipe Emmanuel Silva García, Arturo Armando Mancera Quiñones, obtained second place in the objective resistance test.
In costs, the first place corresponded to Felipe Emmanuel Silva García and Arturo Armando Mancera Quiñones; In this same discipline, Michelle Alonce Fernandez and Víctor Hugo Nava Gómez, obtained second place.
While in footprint and in footprint efficiency, the first place was for Michelle Alonce Fernandez and Víctor Hugo Nava Gómez. In this same category, Felipe Emmanuel Silva García and Arturo Armando Mancera Quiñones, achieved the third place, equal position reached in the competition of cementing efficiency.
The ANEIC is formed by a network of students of Civil engineering distributed in the Mexican Republic that seek the development of their affiliates in the academic, ethical, cultural, sporting and philanthropic aspects. Campus students showed at the Olympics the level of competitiveness they have achieved.
