agronegociosIrapuato, Gto., June 5, 2019.- Students of the Bachelor of Agribusiness of the University of Guanajuato (UG) support local entrepreneurs to identify the potential and predictable market of their products.

To this end, students from the eighth semester of Agribusiness conducted a market study for the company Juchia Food that produces a soluble coffee enriched with carnitine and collagen, whose potential market is athletes, athletes and users of Gyms, since carnitine is an amino acid that helps eliminate body fat and collagen is a protein that helps repair the wear and tear of cartilaginous tissue.

As part of the food marketing subject, students from the Division of Life Sciences conducted 525 personal surveys of economically active men and women in a 30- to 45-year-old age range, visiting 15 different colonies and gymnasiums municipality of Irapuato.

The objectives were to know the profile of the population subject to study, identify consumption habits, analyze the average purchase and identify the level of knowledge about the nutritional properties of Café Azteca.

Adriana Villafaña Aguilera, professor of DICIVA, considered that this experience is very important for young people, since when they come into direct contact with companies, they can have real experiences. She believed that "it is satisfying that companies provide this opportunity for our future professionals to develop further."

The professor and her students presented results to the representative of the company, with the official delivery of the complementary information of the market research, a systematic work that consists in designing, researching, collecting and analyze basic information related to product or service sales issues.

The interpretation of results showed that there is potential for consumption of soluble coffee among people who perform physical activity who in addition to their taste for this drink, value the contributions of supplements for their health.

In this way, the University of Guanajuato provides useful services to small and medium-sized enterprises with growth potential and that give their confidence to future professionals of Agribusiness, an educational program that is taught in the Division of Life Sciences based in Irapuato.
