Guanajuato, Gto., May 31, 2019.- As part of the UG Community collection, the novel "El Conde de Marfil. Historia de una leyenda", the work of Dr. Carlos Tena Tamayo was presented at the University of Guanajuato (UG).
At the event, UG President Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino explained that Dr. Tena Tamayo's work is part of the UG Community collection, which seeks to gather talent from various discipline fields, because the university offers comprehensive training and has "an openness to talent without bringing borders. We do that with our students and we're rescuing it with our graduates."
Thus, the book of Dr. Carlos Tena Tamayo, surgeon with specialization in cardiology, gives an account of the conflict and tensions that gave rise to Mexican nationality and its cultural peculiarity, considered Dr. Guerrero in his comments to the work.
For his part, the Rector of the León Campus of the UG, Dr. Carlos Hidalgo Valadez, said that "El Conde de Marfil. Historia de una leyenda" is an exciting recreation of the common circumstances inherent in the life of the peoples who transcended the pre-Hispanic era.
Guanajuato is the main thread and scenario in which the stories of a couple are unfolding in a social context different from the current one, but where there are feelings, passions, philias and phobias that are timeless.
In his speech Dr. Carlos Tena, who is a doctor graduated from the UG with a specialty in cardiology, and General Director of the Regional Hospital of High Specialty of the Bajío, thanked his alma mater for the opportunity to publish this work and share it with the public.
The Holder of the University Editorial Program and Doctor of Humanities, Elba Margarita Sánchez Rolón, also attended the presentation that was made in the Academic Cloister "Masters Enrique Carmona Arizmendi and Cuauhtémoc Ojeda Rodríguez", where college students, friends of the author and the general public gathered.
