Guanajuato, Gto., August 22, 2019.- During this administration, a Master Infrastructure Plan was implemented at the University of Guanajuato (UG), through which maintenance, adequacy and dignification were prioritized in the more than 70 offices, with an investment of more than 825 million pesos.

The policy of institutional investment in infrastructure takes as a priority the projects of academic impact, so in the period 2015-2019 work was on the maintenance and adaptation of the spaces for the integral formation of the community as well as works to strengthen institutional identity and image.

Thus, on the upper level highlights the opening of the Specialized Unit in Physical Rehabilitation of the VIDA UG Tower in the Campus León, and the spaces for students were premiered in the headquarters of the Division of Science and Engineering.

The Guanajuato Campus carried out the construction of the Tower of Laboratories and Classrooms of the Division of Natural and Exact Sciences, as well as the North Wing for teachers of the Division of Administrative Economic Sciences in the Marfil headquarters.

In addition, in San Miguel de Allende, works were carried out to restore the house of the writer and lawyer Ignacio Ramírez, "El Nigromante".

At the Headquarters El Copal of the Irapuato-Salamanca Campus, the cafeteria, Laboratory of Bromatology and road circuit of the Division of Life Sciences was opened, and in the headquarters Tierra Blanca, were inaugurated the works of the module of classrooms, laboratories, administrative building and multipurpose court.

The four levels of the educational building were completed at the Juan Pablo Segundo headquarters, where a football field and an athletics track were also built at the Celaya-Salvatierra Campus. In addition, the construction and road access of the Janicho headquarters was completed.

In the Central Building of the city of Guanajuato, emblematic spaces such as: the Stairway, the Courtyard of Law Studies, the entrance hall, the Patio de la Libertad, the Hall of General University Council and its Hall of Commissions; the Academic Cloister "Masters Enrique Cardona Arizmendi and Cuauhtémoc Ojeda Rodríguez" and annex spaces, the Library "Licensed and Master Manuel Cervantes Rendón", as well as the exhibition hall of the Museum "Alfredo Duges".

Also, in the state capital, the University Woman's House was rehabilitated, and the interior and outdoor equipment of the Main Theatre was renovated, rehabilitated and equipped. They also completed the works for the opening of the Museum of the University of Guanajuato, which will be carried out in the coming days.

In high school, the investment of 40 million pesos aimed at improving, maintaining and expanding the infrastructure of the 11 schools of the High School College stands out, which was made possible thanks to the support of the State Government.

It is important to mention that, in order to promote the integral development of the university community, more than 5 per cent of all works have aimed at expanding the spaces for physical activation, among which the construction of the Forum Deportivo of the Guanajuato Campus.
