Guanajuato, Gto., August 19, 2019.- Terminal efficiency is an indicator of institutional competitiveness, which allows to establish strategies to prevent lag and desertion. Therefore, during the 2015-2019 administration at the University of Guanajuato (UG) various strategies were implemented to raise the numbers and support the student community to obtain an academic degree and enter the labor market.

Thus, in order to more efficiently address requests for the issuance of certificates of study, the electronic signature and digital format of that document was established. The new procedure began in July 2018 and to date more than 11,000 certificates have been issued for the different educational levels.

In addition, the House of Studies has worked on incentivizing the degree, so new modalities were incorporated into the different educational programs. As a result, in the last 4 years almost 4 thousand undergraduate and graduate students have obtained the respective degree.

For the same purpose, two formalities were abolished, so it is now no longer necessary to present the non-debit records in the library and in the financial area to apply for the degree; which leads to a saving of time and money for the student.

In addition, derived from the constitutional reform that instructs higher education institutions to carry out the management and registration of the degrees and degrees they award, the University of Guanajuato implemented this register for all its graduates December 2018.

So far, more than 2,000 formalities have been carried out before the Directorate General of Professions of the Department of Public Education, so that graduates can apply for and obtain their Electronic Professional Certificate.

Another of the actions launched by the University of Guanajuato to expedite administrative procedures was the diversification into the system of payment of university tariffs, so now, in addition to financial and banking institutions, the community can cover your payments in the ISSEG pharmacy network and OXXO stores.
