- The first Mexican to be appointed.

León, Gto., August 15, 2019.- Rodrigo López Falcony graduated from the educational program of surgeon physician and kidney transplant specialist, was appointed council for Latin America of the International Society for Organ Donation and Procurement (ISODP).

The main objective of this society is to promote the donation of organs, the prohibition of illicit use and trafficking of these, to support the implementation of donation programs, but above all to reduce so-called organ transplant tourism.

ISODP has one representative for each region of the world: North America, Latin America, Australia, Asia, Europe, Africa.

Since 2008 the outstanding graduate joined the State Transplant Center of the State of Guanajuato with the position of Medical Coordinator, in 2011 he assumes the position of Director to the date.

This center works actively in organ donation which puts the state at the top of organ donation, in this regard Dr. López Falcony commented in an interview that "for six years Guanajuato is the state that has the highest number of organ donors organs per million inhabitants," he added, "we are the third state of the Republic where the most kidney transplantation is performed, only below Mexico City and Guadalajara."

In 2014 he joined the Mexican Transplant Society as a member, in 2018 he was appointed president of this agency for the period 2020-2022.

The former company is a subsidiary of The Transplantation Society, a global organization based in Canada whose goal is to regulate, promote and encourage organ donation and transplants around the world.

On November 13, he will be appointed in Dubai, valid for four years, during which time he will be spokesman from all Latin America, becoming the first Mexican and Guanajuatense to take office.
