Guanajuato, Gto., a 2 de noviembre de 2015.- Tania Guadalupe Peñaflor Galindo, a student from the Master Degree in Chemical Sciences from the Division of Natural and Exact Sciences from Campus Guanajuato, participated in the double degree program the University of Guanajuato (UG) has with the Nagaoka University in Japan.

One of the reasons that since the Major in Chemist-Pharmacist-Biologist led her to become a researcher was to generate social wellbeing and reattribute to people the support she had, because thanks to obtaining scholarships she worked in different research projects.

Recently, Tania Guadalupe Peñaflor obtained the degree from the Master Degree at the Nagaoka University, to achieve this; she had to pass through a year stay in Japan, country in which she first started a study on absorbent materials for water and later sustained a project on biomaterials with the purpose to cover craters and avoid bacterial infections.

In an interview with the outstanding student commented that: "the crater project had very good results and with that I obtained my master's degree in science of materials in the Nagaoka University. Meanwhile, here at UG I will graduate from the master degree in Chemical sciences with research on the treatment of waste water".

Convinced, Tania Peñaflor said that science must apply in actions that strengthen society and enrich the environment, "we researchers are made to improve our life conditions". Therefore, his time through the academy directed towards contributing with a progress in the water cleaning processes and the health of the human being.

"While I was in Japan, I was very happy to retake my biological base, although I was afraid to do in one year what Japanese do in two, because in that time I had to finish my research. That is where I realized that the educative programs at the University of Guanajuato have an excellent level and Mexican students can get as far as we like", said Peñaflor.

Lastly, she said she is proud to go back to her university and retake her academic work under the tutelage of magnificent professors, "I want to be as magnificent as they are", she concluded.
