Guanajuato, Gto., November 6, 2015. Dr. Julio César Kala, professor in the Department of Law at the University of Guanajuato (UG), will be part of a select group of academics that form the Mexican Academy of Criminology, an organization of specialists that focus in the analysis of the System of Criminal Justice from the sociological, political, legal and philosophical trend.

The Mexican Academy of Criminology (AMC for its acronym in Spanish) has the purpose to take on a broad program of academic extension and training – that broadens in the public servants—through courses, seminars, symposiums, conferences and congresses, as well as the social prevention of violence and delinquency. This Monday November 9 at 18:00hrs, in the welcoming ceremony Dr. Kala will give a speech that verses on the integration problems from the central object of criminology. At the event, the general rector from UG, Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino, will be an honor witness.

In an interview, the college researcher pointed that it constitutes a great honor and privilege to be part of the Mexican Academy of Criminology because of the prestige of their members.

Dr. Julio César Kala explained that the invitation to be part of the mentioned academy was an initiative of the founding president of such association, M. Héctor Chincoya Teutli and the twelve members who after reviewing the professional career from UG's professor supported the decision.

The college professor took the bachelor degree in the Special Education and majored in the area of in-adaptation and social infraction, he is a teacher and doctor in Criminal Sciences; member of the National Researchers System, level I. Performed a post-doctoral stay in the Max Planck Institute of International Criminal Law in Freibürg, Germany.

Dr. Kala is author of many publications such as "Seguridad Pública: Imágenes numéricas"; "Fenomenología de la Delincuencia en el Distrito Federal"; "Cultura básica para la evaluación y diseño de políticas de Seguridad Pública" and "Perseverancia en los contenidos penales preventivos, en Seguridad Pública: voces diversas en un enfoque multidisciplinario". He also developed an intense activity as a speaker.

At the University of Guanajuato, he is a professor at the Department of Law in the Division of Law, Politics and Government at Campus Guanajuato and member of the board.
