empresa-sustentable-mexicla-ugLeón, Gto., November 9, 2015.- Verónica del Ángel Hernández, student from the bachelor degree in Sustainable Chemical Engineering from the Division of Engineering (DCI) at Campus Leon from the University of Guanajuato (UG), leads the multidisciplinary students' project who developed the design of a sustainable company by the name "MEXICLA" which has the purpose to transform PET in resin for industrial use.

The company is in process of creating the prototype plant and begin a detailed market research, that is what Verónica del Ángel revealed in a press conference at the DCI's auditorium on their participation in the World Universities Conference 2015 (WUC).

The products generated by "Mexicla" are directed to different areas of manufacturing in the region and in the beginning; it pretends to provide service to the automotive industry derived from the demand of different type of polyethylene resins.

During the conference, Verónica highlighted that the name "MEXICLA" is composed from the fusion of the words "México" and "recicla" (recycle), therefore this name defines the function and social mission of this company.

She manifested that "the most important characteristic from an entrepreneur is to have a great idea", in addition she remarked the importance of having a relevant social objective and a pertinent market plan to sell such idea, In this sense, there is a group dedicated to sell the product and another to develop the process.

Besides the theoretical, methodological and economical challenges, the student from the University of Guanajuato mentioned, "first you have to organize the team, because we are ten, and organizing a team with so many people is a challenge, we are from different careers and diverse objectives".

Later in the presentation, the assisting students and interested people made questions on technical aspects of the process and specific activities from the members of the team.

This sustainable company is integrated by Luis Fernando Gómez Caballero, Ángel Lizbeth Piña Ruiz and Vania Pamela Martínez Godínez from Biomedical Engineering. Bárbara Andrea Manríquez Ascencio, Marlon Manuel Hernández Hoyos, Marcela Giovana García Domínguez, José Rubén Pérez Mendoza, Verónica del Ángel Hernández y Kenia Paola Betsabe Martínez Galván from Sustainable Chemical Engineering and Daniela Olivia Sandoval Castro from Physics Engineering.
