
Guanajuato, Gto., November 12, 2015.- The doctorate program in Chemistry and the Master degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Guanajuato (UG), obtained the Level of International Competence, granted by the "Programa Nacional de Posgrados de Calidad (PNPC (National program for quality postgraduates)), by achieving the highest quality and pertinence standards.
The postgraduate programs that receive this appointment are those that have collaborations in the international ambiance through agreements that include student and professor mobility, thesis co-direction and joint research projects.
With this recognition, the National Council of Science and Technology (CONACYT for its acronym in Spanish), through the PNPC confirms the educative quality of these programs in the University of Guanajuato, which were evaluated by their academic pairs in the Renewal Summon 2015.
The evaluation processes and follow up are key components from the PNPC to offer the students, academic institutions, productive sector and society, information and guarantee on the quality and pertinence from renowned postgraduates.
The doctorate in Chemistry is part of the programs in the Department of Chemistry from the Division of Natural and Exact Sciences from Campus Guanajuato, and has the purpose to form students with an excellent level in the area of chemistry so they are capable to develop independent scientific research and contribute to the country, region and institution development,
The master degree in Electrical Engineering is part of the Division of Engineering from Campus Irapuato-Salamanca, who comprehensively forms human resource with updated knowledge, skills and values that allow addressing the needs in design, programming, maintenance and operation of specific solutions in the areas of digital instruments, artificial intelligence, robotics, digital systems, signal processing, optic-electronics, automation and control with the purpose to streamline the productive, administrative and social methods and services developing quality scientists and technologists.
The PNPC is part of the public policy to encourage quality from CONACYT and the Sub-secretary of Higher Education from the Secretary of Public Education (SEP) have boosted uninterrupted since 1991.
