exponen-trabajo-a-nivel-internacional-profesores-de-nivel-medio-superiorLeón, Gto., November 18, 2015- With an appointment for education and against school dropping, High school professors from the Historical Downtown Leon, Verónica Aguilar Vargas, José Emigdio Frausto Macias, Ma. Eugenia Ibarra Rodríguez and Luis David Valadez Ponce, went to the city of Talca in Chile to assist the 5th Latin American Conference on dropouts in higher education (V-CLABES).

One hundred and sixty two works from professors, education negotiators, educative authorities and students from countries in Latin America were shown. Worried for aspects related with knowing the causes of dropouts so it can be predicted, evaluated and spread good practices and integrate them in the institutional programs and commit all the different agents involved.

The work presented by the professors has the title "Evaluación de la tutoría, abandon escolar y trayectoria escolar en la Escuela de Nivel Medio Superior Centro Histórico León que pertenece al Colegio de Nivel Medio Superior de la Universidad de Guanajuato".

Study dropout is a general phenomenon in the world and it has a negative impact in the social and economic development in the countries, especially in those who are developing. The project GUIA (Gestión Universitaria Integral de Abandono) was created to address the issue, coordinated by the Polytechnic University of Madrid that is in charge of divulging works on the topic with contribution from sixteen countries, twelve of them are in Latin America,

The past four editions of this conference occurred in 2011 in Managua (Nicaragua); 2012, Porto Alegre (Brazil); 2013, Mexico, D.F; and 2014, Medellin (Colombia). At the event's closing, the next location for the next CLABES conference announced that it is going to be in Ecuador.
