Celaya, Gto., November 19, 2015.- Fernanda Gamiño, student in the third semester of the Bachelor degree in Nursing and Midwifery in the Division of Health Sciences and Engineering from Campus Celaya – Salvatierra will participate in a stay in Japan as a result of her participation in the summon issued by the Government of the State of Guanajuato and the nonprofit organization REIYUKAI de México A.C., "Rumbo a Japón 2015".

The college student was recognized for her initiative of creating the association of young people "Celayenses Unidos en Acción y Moviemiento (CUAM) (Celayenses together in action and movement). This project, which she leads, seeks to support groups and families in situations of extreme poverty through weekly quotas. Among other activities, they visit senior homes and children in foster to be with them.

The nursing student was one of the 25 finalists of the mentioned summon, in addition to the prize from the Campus Rectory, she received support with the administrative documents and expenses as a stimulus to encourage participation in the social labor.

This travel is a reward to young students with the spirit to support the society in an uninterested way, and along her stay in Japan, they can gather ideas to implement them in their environment of action based in the REIYUKAI principles which are: generating a change that allows to relate positively with the rest to benefit the community they belong to and potentiate global leadership from young women and men through the knowledge of culture, government, and economic development, among other aspects of the Asian world power.

During her stay in Japan, she will interview with chiefs of state, with the fire department, the parliament and will know the police system, which will allow her to widen her knowledge on this culture and generate ideas that can strengthen o change situation in pro of society in Mexico.

Fernanda assured that her first movement approach in favor of society was in the high school level when knowing young students that participated in national collects to support less favored people, or where in senior homes and provided support to sighted people.

"I'm very thankful with the University for the support, I'm very happy, but above all I'm very engaged with lifting high the name of the University of Guanajuato and the state where I go" said Fernanda.

Finally, she told that last stage of the selection of the winners was difficult, because of the participation of more than 300 youth and explained that knowing she was selected "motivated me even more to not only do what I was doing but reattribute to society, when I return, I'd like to create new projects, continue creating consciousness of change and I'd like to involve mi fellow college partners".
