Guanajuato, Gto., November 24, 2015. With the objective to strengthen the postgraduate programs, academic networks among college students and the link with government officers, the University of Guanajuato invites to the update course of the excellence professorship "Instituciones, Políticas Públicas y Análisis Comparado" (Institutions, public policies and compared analysis), that will begin with the module "Políticas públicas para afrontar el calentamiento global en América Latina" (Public policies to face global warming in Latin America).

The activities will begin next November 26 ay 17 hours with the masterful conference "América Latina y el mundo no desarrollado ante la política del cambio climático" (Latin America and the undeveloped world before the policy of climate change) taught by Dr. José Luis Lezama de la Torre, researcher-professor from the "Centro de Estudios Demográficos, Urbanos y Ambientales" from the "Colegio de México".

At the end of the talk, there will be a discussion table with the topic "Public policies to face global warming in Latin America", in which besides Dr. Lezama, Dr. Vicente Ugalde Saldaña, from Colmex, will participate. Both activities will occur in the Assembly Hall, located in UG's central building.

In press conference, the director from the Division of Law, Politics and Government, Dr. Teresita de Jesús Rendón Huerta Barrera, said that the professorship "Institutions, Public policies and compared analysis", allows interacting with group of high level researchers and reminded that the invitation is open for who is interested in the topic, "it's an opportunity of treating vanguard topics, obliged in the public agenda from the institutions".

The responsible of the Excellence professorship, Dr. Fernando Barrientos del Monte, exposed that this program seeks to strengthen the postgraduate programs, academic networks and extend the link with government officers and students from other universities who are interested in the compared analysis of the public policies.

"It is about analyzing the national problems trying to observe how they have resolved in the international context", he detailed, at the same time, he explained that the update course is divided in seven modules, and each one lasts three hours.

Some of the topics that are going to be addressed in the course are "Instituciones judiciales comparadas", "El Nuevo orden internacional, ayer y hoy", "Crisis del presidencialismo latinoamericano", "Cambio en las organizaciones públicas" and "La evolución gubernamental en perspectiva comparada: desarrollo vs subdesarrollo". It is important to mention that each module will have the participation of internationally renowned specialists.

In her intervention, coordinator from the master degree in Management, Development and Government, M. Rosa María Pérez Vargas, pointed out that the general theme of the activities spins around in institutions, administration and management, with the compared analysis as one of the axis for discussion.
