Guanajuato, Gto., November 30, 2015.- General Rector from the University of Guanajuato, Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino, signed the agreement that regulates the "La Cátedra Itinerante México-Reino Unido" (The itinerating professorship Mexico-United Kingdom) within activities of the International Book Fair in Guadalajara (FIL).
Dr. Guerrero Agripino explained that this agreement is a university-scientific-cultural collaboration project between twelve universities of England and twelve universities of Mexico, among which we can find the University of Guanajuato.
He added that the objective of this alliance is to generate better mobility schemes and academic participation between students and professors from the twenty-four institutions that work together.
General Rector thanked specially the excellent reception and kindness from the General Rector from the University of Guadalajara, M. Itzcoatl Tonatiuh Bravo Padilla.
Likewise, he highlighted that the director of Academic Cooperation, Dr. Sergio Antonio Silva, will follow up and divulge the call to apply for the professorship to be emitted.
At the event, the participants were United Kingdom Ambassador in Mexico, Excellency Duncan John Rushworth Taylor CBE; Ambassador of Mexico in United Kingdom, Excellency Diego Gómez Pickering; General Director of Technical and Scientific Cooperation from the Secretary of External Relations, Dr. Martha Navarro Albo; and Rectors from the respective universities, and in some cases their representatives.
