Guanajuato, Gto., December 1, 2015.- Academics from the University of Guanajuato (UG) Campus Celaya-Salvatierra develop a project to make the small, micro and medium businesses (Mipymes) in the state to integrate with the automotive cluster and benefit with the arrival of large assemblers that have installed in Guanajuato.

The objective of this investigation is generating knowledge to contribute to the development of the small businessperson and internal market, with a model that contributes within the national, regional and microenvironments to build the necessary conditions for Pymes to integrate successfully to the chains of value provided by the assemblers in the automotive sector.

The academic who participate in the project are Drs. Rubén Molina Sánchez, Ricardo Contreras Soto, Martha Ríos Manríquez, Celina López and Alejandra López, and also the participation of the Drs. Sergio Méndez and Johanan Zamilpa.

In word of the specialist in administration and leader of the investigation, Dr. Alejandra López; "In one hand we want to evaluate the different factors that stimulate the capabilities of technological, organizational, directive and human capital innovation, and on the other, we wish to know in businesses that have developed this capacities, how these factors impact in the performance or success in the competitiveness from the business":

According with the researcher, "we also analyze the impact in the territory of the arrival of the assembler companies to the region, reviewing how they affect the indicators such as the GDP, employment, poverty and educative levels.

The specialists just received a fund of 826 thousand pesos to perform the investigation during a whole year within the call "Redes PRODEP", with a research called "Análisis de las capacidades tecnológicas del clúster automotriz de la region centro norte y su impacto territorial y en al competitividad empresarial" (Analysis of the technological capacities of the automotive cluster in the north central region and its territorial impact and business competitiveness).

The call was aimed for the construction of themed networks of Academic Bodies who are consolidated o in process of, from three different universities, with which assured a design of research and an application of the instrument in different states.

UG's researchers will have the opportunity to renew funding in a second even third time depending on the results.

For this project, in addition to UG, the "Universidad Autónoma de Queretaro" and the "Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Hidalgo with the academic groups of Technological and Financial Management, as well as Administration respectively, participated.
