Guanajuato, Gto., December 1, 2015.- With the purpose to encourage in children the taste for writing, visual arts, as well as visiting galleries, art spaces and museums, the Direction of Extension from the University of Guanajuato carried out the award ceremony for the contest "Cuéntame un cuento" (tell me a story).

The contest consisted in visiting the photographic expo the Ph.D. in Mathematics, Leticia Brambilia, put together where she portrayed images from the sky in which the clouds form shapes and were the main actors. After the exhibit, participants had to write a story based in the photos.

This dynamic happened in collaboration with the Elementary School "Ma. De Jesús López" located in Calle del Sol, where children from fifth and sixth grade enthusiastically wrote a diversity of stories in which they stated their ability to create a story by using tools like creativity and imagination.

The award ceremony occurred in the schoolyard, at the event; all the students gathered and witnessed the presentation of awards from the author of the photos. Dr. Brambilia extended a wide thank you to all little writers and encouraged them to continue forming through a comprehensive education that involves the fusion of science and art.

Winning children were selected for their originality, quality and good writing of their story, seventeen kids from fifth and sixth grades were recognized, as well as a school professor who also participated with a story.

Winners received their presents with thrill and joy since they got a record, a photo from the show and a document which mentioned the possibility to make a book from their collaborations.
