Guanajuato, Gto., December 7, 2015.- Students from the Division of Science and Engineering-Campus Leon from the University of Guanajuato spread the benefits of taking science to the youth, this through the group "Sociedad Cientifica Juvenil (Juvenile Scientific Society).

Maria Magdalena Robles, Jorge Tavares and Jonathan Álvarez are students from the bachelors in Physics and Biomedical Engineering. They have the initiative of taking the reaches of science to junior and high school students from the state of Guanajuato.

In an interview with Jonathan, he indicated, "we are a group of students with the purpose of divulging science, as well as to light a spark and motivate children and youth to have or begin with an interest in sciences in general":

Equally, he affirmed that with this action they pretend to give more importance to the development of technology in the country, because it is through the study of science how Mexico can grow and grant more benefits to its habitants.

On her part, Maria Magdalena explained that the "Juvenile Scientific Society" began in Ensenada, Baja California and today works in other cities from the republic such as Tijuana, Monterrey, Distrito Federal and Leon.

Under the slogan "In today's youth we find the science of the future", appassionato for the scientific knowledge, they seek to divulge it to generate a critical, analytical and objective thinking with the purpose to "achieve a plain self-realization, with aptitudes and qualities that will be useful for the rest of life".

Likewise, Jorge Tavares mentioned that the activities they have performed as "Scientific Society", "in the beginning, we approached the high schools from the UG, in which we had workshops, conferences and science fairs. We also have a connection with the Federal Government with their program "Point Mexico Connected", a national network of community centers of digital training and education".

"Besides, we have participated in the star night divulging Astrophysics. In our society, we have postgraduate and bachelor students from UG as well from other educative institutions. We are open to any science and the discussion of new ideas".

To finish, the three students extended an invitation to all interested youth in getting close to the scientific knowledge, as well as students and experts in several disciplines to join the society and become part of a nurtured and multidisciplinary community.
