León, Gto., December 8, 2015.- The National Council of Science and Technology (CONACYT) ratified as Consolidated the program of the interinstitutional doctorate in Psychology from the Division of Health Sciences, offered in Campus Leon from the University of Guanajuato (UG).

In the last evaluation from CONACYT, the interinstitutional doctorate in psychology went from level one to three within the consolidated programs, "which makes us think we are doing things right", pointed Dr. Maria Gabriela Luna Lara, Coordinator of this educative program.

The doctorate generates regional research to give place to public policies in a variety of topics related with Psychology. The university network that participates in the doctorate are the University of Colima, University of Guadalajara, University of Guanajuato and "Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolás de Hidalgo.

An important feature is that near 15 academic bodies cover the doctorate from the five universities, guaranteeing a plurality of topics and methodologies. The research is aimed to three main areas: social psychology, psychology of health and educative psychology.

One of the strengths of the program is their efficiency is terminal, in the matter Dr. Gabriela Luna commented, "From the graduate students, a high percentage is working in the academy and even some are members of the National System of Researchers. Ninety-eight percent of the professors are members from SNI.

It is important to mention that from October 7 to December 10, Campus Leon from UG, will hold the rotary seminar of research from the Interinstitutional Doctorate of Psychology, reason why the location San Carlos approximately receives eighty academics between students and professors.
