Irapuato, Gto., December 9, 2015.- Nurses from the Division of Life Sciences (DICIVA) from the University of Guanajuato, participate in the first colloquium of students about pregnancy, postpartum, contraceptives and teenagers.

In December 9, 10, two masterly conferences and ten papers, sponsored by the Department of Nursing and Midwifery, the research group for prevention and chronic states of the adult, organized by professor Antonio Torres León.

The conferences base in evidence of nursing in pregnancy, the care of the nurse in the puerperium, and the knowledge and attitudes on the emergency contraceptive in teenager students.

The Rector from Campus Irapuato-Salamanca from UG, Dr. Ernesto Camarena Aguilar, inaugurated the works, accompanied by the Director of the Division of Life Sciences, Dr. Eduardo Salazar Solis; Director from the Department of Nursing, M. Ma. Leticia Campos Zermeño and the coordinator of the bachelor program, Dr. Norma Lilia Aguilera Elizarrarás.

The first day of activities, the topics covered were "Stress from the nursing staff related with the care of the critical patient" and the "Effect of a multidisciplinary educative intervention in the therapeutic adherence and life quality in people with diabetes mellitus II from a suburban population".

They also talked about the standardized care plan in premature babies in Irapuato's General Hospital and closed with the topic "Women giving birth, recovering powers". In the second day, Yolanda Soledad García Preciado will give a masterly conference "The nursing care in the puerperium", and continue the talk "Factors that influence in delaying healing of ulcers in a diabetic foot":

Then, the team of Lucia Guadalupe Ramírez Mosqueda, Magaly Guzmán Ramírez and Rosa Maria Reyes, will present their study on knowledge and attitudes towards the emergency contraceptive in teenager students.

Other topics will be "Standardized care plan in burnt patients", "The influence of the personality in the decision making of teenagers to have premarital sexual intercourse", to conclude with the "Accompaniment and care in postpartum".
