Guanajuato, Gto., December 25, 2015.- The University of Guanajuato is an educative institution committed with its environment, reason why it follows a constant path towards University Social Responsibility (RSU for its acronym in Spanish).

The philosopher specialized in applied ethics in organizations, Dr. François Vallaeys, granted an interview in which he remarked the relevance that the University Social Responsibility has today, which causes a direct impact in environmental care and in the action that contribute in a social improvement.

The French doctor, emphasized that universities have a clear impact in the educative, research and knowledge sectors, therefore, they have a great commitment to form professionals conscious of the social and environmental problems that need to be dealt in a regional, national and world level.

The international consultant in RSU for several Latin-American universities, mentioned that it is indispensable "find translators that allow passing the universal ethic principles to a concrete management of everyday life, precisely RSU is one of those translators".

Despite today there is certain distrust in the institutions, Dr. Vallaeys, asserted that these –especially the educative—are a fundamental mean to counter the global risks that the human being faces today. He indicated that to deal with the environmental and social risks, "scientific research is necessary, as well as to form scientists and professionals capable in the theoretical and practical environments".

To finalize, he mentioned that to get rid of the social ills from their causes, it is precise to make research from the community and not only from laboratories, "it is unfailing to make committed scientific research and not just to enrich the curriculum from the National System of Researchers, but to solve real problems and such studies involve students, with the purpose that the social pertinence helps to form professionally".

It is important to mention, that Dr. Vallaeys resides in Peru and he is a Philosophy professor in the "Pontifica Universidad Católica del Perú" (PUCP). He taught ethics and social responsibility in the Business Center from PUCP and advised the "Iniciativa interamericana de Ética, Capital Social y Desarrollo" (Inter-American initiative of Ethics, Social Capital and Development) from the "Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo".
