Guanajuato, Gto., January 16, 2016.- This Friday the deadline to deliver papers to participate in the VIII Colloquium of Research in Architecture closed, this has been organized for eight years by the Division of Architecture, Art and Design from Campus Guanajuato and this edition will develop on April 13, 14 and 15.
Dr. Miguel Ángel García Gómez, from the Colloquium's Organizing Committee, referred that the deadline for papers, closed past November, was extended to allow a greater participation and exchange of projects and enrich the proposals.
He reported as a result from the previous colloquium editions, they have published five books already, and if, there is a considerable amount of participants, they believe they can reach 25 – 30 papers, the average from previous academic encounters.
So, addressing the institutional mission to procure spaced for the development of their substantial activities, the Division and the Department of Architecture, summon researchers, professors and students to participate in the VIII Colloquium of Research in Architecture, national event of scientific divulgation and discussion that occurs on April 13, 14 and 15, 2016 in the Department of Architecture from the University of Guanajuato.
The research colloquiums on architecture began in 2008 as an academic space to exchange research experiences, to divulge works in the distinct disciplinary fields from Architecture and as a possibility to get the students in touch with the themes and who studies them.
The acceptance date for the paper extract will be from January 29 and the limit to receive papers extended to March 18 from the present year.
Some of the topics addressed in the colloquium and urban and architectonic heritage, restoration (practice, theory and history), conservation policies and tourism and historical centers in global and metropolitan environments.
There will also be talks on urban studies with the regionalization topics and systems of cities, sustainability, regional urban management, urban inequality and inequity, metropolitan services, urban management and public policies, and citizen participation and governance.
The organizing committee is composed by Dr. Miguel Ángel García Gómez, Dr. Norma Mejía Morales, Dr. Velia Ordaz Zubia, Dr. Daniel Barrera Fernández and Dr. Marco Antonio Hernández Escampa Abarca.
