Guanajuato, Gto., January 15, 2016.- The Division of Social Sciences and Human Studies (DCSyH) Campus Guanajuato from the University of Guanajuato (UG), has a significant editorial production, produce of the hard work from the professors-researchers and students that compose it.

In an interview, M. Flor Aguilera Navarrete, who functions as the editorial liaison from DSCyH, highlighted the importance of having a job to edit the publication in the University of Guanajuato, "the job of this editorial is a program for the development of extension, one of the substantial functions of our university".

"The editorial work, links research and teaching with the society, meaning, the university's books are the face of the institution, through these we show the generated knowledge with the firm conviction of favoring the growth of the social groups and not only from the university community", she mentioned.

In this sense, M. Flor Aguilera indicated that the books made in the University must expand and go outside the institution because one their main functions is having a significant impact with society. "Edit books is important, since the knowledge divulges, expands and emerge possibilities to impact and consolidate the academic labor", she said.

Besides, she asserted that "the publication from a university, reflect the educative status, the level of the researcher-professors and –when it is about publication with relevant research--, they stand as an intellectual authority who is capable of encouraging and provoking a thinking society".

Another factor that determine the importance to have a university editorial, is that through the books, knowledge networks are created, "in that way, the professors start creating links with other universities, books are the liaison to generate knowledge", M. Aguilera highlighted.

It is important to mention that in 2015 the Editorial Coordination from the Division of Social Sciences and Human Studies from Campus Guanajuato published through 26 books and magazines, all the publications coming from the six departments that compose the Division: Spanish Letters, Philosophy, History, Languages, Education and Culture studies and Society.

The university editorial from such division, integrates several collections, "Pliegos" in which they publish research from master and doctorate degrees and special research from professors, the collection "Estudios Filosóficos y Literarios", produce from the professorship "José Revueltas", the collection "Pequeña galería del esscritor hispanoamericano" and the collection "Tesis", destined to publish the best research works from degree students.

Likewise, the editorial is in charge of publishing two magazines from the Department of History, "Oficio y Clióptero" and one more from the Department of Spanish Letters, the magazine "Valenciana", which stands out for being included in the Scientific and Technological Magazine Index from the National Council for Science and Technology (CONACYT for its acronym in Spanish), therefore, it is positioned among the best specialized publications in the area from human studies in Mexico.
