
Guanajuato, Gto., January 14, 2016. With the "Catalogo de servicios e innovación" (Catalogue of services and innovation). The University of Guanajuato (UG) offers to the public a list of the laboratories that exist in the institution, as well as information about the projects, human resources and technical equipment they have to solve problems in the industry, the government and society altogether.
The Director of Link from UG, Dr. Salvador Hernández Castro, explained that they seek to strengthen the work that has been done with the social, productive and governmental sectors, from there the relevance of divulging the utility from the projects developed by researchers and services that offer the laboratories.
As an example, he mentioned that the "Laboratorio Nacional de Caracterización de Propiedades Fisicoquimicas y Estructura Molecular (LACAPFEM), in which they have invested nearly 70 million pesos, allows to determine the physical-chemical properties, besides the molecular structure of the materials, that is why it has great potential to support industries like the automotive. Until now, they have collaborated with companies such as Condumex, Grupo Carso, General Electric, Univex and Siemens.
In the government sector, there is a strong collaboration in the health area, that goes from design and improvement of medical drugs to the attention of patients through the laboratory for the final care of life, the laboratory for Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation, and the Laboratory of Early Stimulation among many others.
The University of Guanajuato has also been involved in projects of environmental impact that allow to save energy, use biofuels and treatment of polluted water. For that, they have worked hand by hand with industries and municipal governments who have requested help.
The agricultural sector has also received benefits from the research developed in UG, with projects that allow to control plagues, increase yield and better use of the resources.
In the business ambiance, UG offers fiscal services, business model and technological capacities analysis, among others. In addition, it has a database of more than five thousand micro, small and medium businesses in the region.
The catalogue of services and innovation that details this information also includes a list of the postgraduates, Continuous Education programs (directed to public); as well as the industrial property ready to transfer.
