Guanajuato, Gto., January 22, 2016.- With the story titled "Tú eres mi mar" (You are my sea), Ana Fernanda Devesa Aguilar, student of the second semester in the High School college of Guanajuato, received the 1st place in the National Contest of Literary Expression "La Juventud y la mar 2015", a contest organized by the Mexican Navy.

The High school student was the only participant from the state to receive an award in the 2015 edition of the contest. After the award ceremony she was moved to Veracruz (MX) through an Army plane to visit the "Heroica Escuela Naval Militar", the Air-Sea base, and sail in a Mexican Army vessel.

After knowing the result of the contest, Ana Fernanda Devesa expressed to feel happy of obtaining this national recognition, that also allowed her to closely coexist with Navy members and rise the name of UG. She qualified this experience as "unforgettable" and thanked his family for supporting her.

The contest "La juventud y la mar" (Youth and sea) has the objective to motivate the Mexican youth to express their feelings and perception regarding the sea, and awake the interest in the naval and maritime activities.

The selection of the winning stories was in charge of the "Consejo Nacional para la Cultura y las Artes (CONACULTA)", party that compose a qualifying jury specialized in the literary disciplines where they received a total of 2,306 stories related to the sea, in which young writers in the range of 13 and 17 years old from all over the country.

The award ceremony of the "Concurso Literario Nacional "La Juventud y la Mar"", was held in Mexico City and led by the Secretary of the Nay, Vidal Francisco Soberón.
