
Guanajuato, Gto., January 20, 2016.- Within the activities of the Excellence Class "Heritage", Dr. Emerson Gabardo, scholar from the "Pontifica Universidad Católica de Paraná" and State Alderman from the Association of Lawyers of Brazil, he dictated the Magister conference "Sistema legal de protección del patrimonio Histórico en Brasil".
Such class is a project approved by the General Rectory from the University of Guanajuato through the Direction of Support for Research and Postgraduate. In the specific case of "Heritage" involves the Department of Cultural Studies and Society from the Division of Social Sciences and Human Studies and the Department of Law of the Division of Law, Politics and Government, both from campus Guanajuato.
It was Dr. Sara Julsrud López job, Director of Cultural Extension, representing the General Rector of the University of Guanajuato, Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino, to welcome the Brazilian scholar and with whose conference began the class works.
Dr. Julsrud reminded that it was while working at UNESCO in 1972, when the necessity to identify and preserve the heritage assets from all nations surged, therefore, the University of Guanajuato is congratulated for making efforts to generate knowledge and diffusion in this matter.
On his behalf, Dr. Felipe Macias Gloria, responsible for the class and representing Dr. Teresita de Jesús Rendón Huerta Barrera, celebrated the inauguration of the class, whose background date, c. 15 years back, because they do not attend trends, but commitments to society.
The seek that the class thoughts fall into concrete actions and measures to safeguard the heritage assets and to think about the necessity to legislate, among others, on industrial, mining and cultural heritage.
In the conference given in the Hall of Acts of the Division of Law, Politics and Government, representing the Rector from Campus Guanajuato, Dr. Javier Corona Fernández; Dr. Claudia Gutierrez Padilla, Campus' Academic Secretary; as well as M. Ada Marina Lara Meza, co-founder of the class and Dr. Diego Leon, Director of the Department of Culture and Society Studies assisted.
