Guanajuato, Gto., January 19, 2016.- The director of the Symphonic Orchestra from the University of Guanajuato (OSUG for its acronym in Spanish), Roberto Beltrán Zavala, outstanding Mexican musician that since mid-last year until today, leads the most consolidated musical project from UG, signed a contract with "Bis records", a Swedish label in charge of producing the most outstanding classical, antique and contemporary music.

The label "Bis records" has been praised by the quality of sound in their recordings, as well as for their versatility and the variety of their catalogue. About it, Roberto Beltrán Zavala, expressed to be enthusiastic since he presented in Europe, the first album that emerges from such contract and in which the "Re: Orchestra" of Rotterdam –from which Zavala Beltrán is also director—interprets a distinguished selection of the plays from the Russian composer Dmitri Shostakóvich.

In an interview, Beltrán Zavala affirmed that this first disc is part of a project with the name "Essential Music", in which he pretends to make a series of recordings, expecting to conclude in 2019. "This project emerges the uneasiness of talking about how the European identity from different regions, has contributed –along several centuries—to generate a cultural heritage that we now know as "classical music", indicated the director.

Equally, he remarked that during his career as an orchestra director, he has had a special relationship with Shostakóvich's music, "he is a composer that I know well. When you are a director, you literally coexist with composers –even if they are dead--, it means, I have an intense relation with his music", he said. That is the reason why, when comprehending emotions and feelings that the plays from the Russian composer evoke, --the first disc of "Essential Music" --, in an eloquent and buoyant form he interprets two symphonies from Dmitri Shostakóvich.

It is important to mention that the first disc will be available in 46 countries, including Mexico. Afterwards, it can be acquired through internet sites. The musical production has obtained very good criticisms in Europe, and has also received nominations that distinguish the best of classical music in countries such as France and the Netherlands.

They will continue recording this year, Beltrán Zavala mentioned that it is possible that in the following discs they will interpret music from the famous composers Haydn and Britten.
