Guanajuato, Gto., January 19, 2016.- Dr. Javier Corona Fernández, Rector from Campus Guanajuato, welcomed into the classrooms of the University of Guanajuato a total of 125 exchange students from bachelor, master and doctorate degrees coming from Mexico, Hungary, Russia, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, France, United States, Germany, Colombia, Canada, Japan, Peru, Norway, China, Argentina, South Korea, Cambodia, Brazil and Chile, inscribed in the Interinstitutional Academic Mobility Program.
Students come from 66 universities and they will insert in the educational programs of practically all the divisions in Campus Guanajuato. In his message, Rector Corona Fernández, wished that their stay in Guanajuato be a free, rational and happy experience, and that they could establish communication links and permanent friendships in all the world.
He remarked that the best door to know a country is through the universities, that is why the university residencies and exchanges are important, but at the same time, said, it is an opportunity for the political, ideological and economic level differences to be set aside and only matter the human relation.
After taking the memory photograph at the stairs of the UG's central building, a ceremony was held in the "Maria Elena Morales" Auditorium, from the Language Department, where Dr. Corona Fernández made vows so their stay in Guanajuato and the University, fulfills their expectations, and exhorted them to take care of themselves while recommending to enjoy museums and cultural and artistic events from the University and the city, particularly the "Alhóndiga de Granaditas", where the history of Mexico as a nation began.
The Academic Mobility Program, is part of the efforts from the University of Guanajuato and, in concrete, of Campus Guanajuato, to establish links with other education institutions in Mexico and the world.
After the ceremony, they were informed of the different services that Campus Guanajuato offers in the academic, cultural and sport areas and received advise to carry on with their enrollment documents, besides knowing their respective divisions and departments.
As part of the efforts from the University of Guanajuato and, in concrete, from Campus Guanajuato to establish links with other education institutions of Mexico and the world, there is the Interinstitutional Academic Mobility Program for the January – June 2016 period that receives 125 students from the bachelor, master and doctorate degrees, coming from Mexico, Hungary, Russia, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, France, United States, Germany, Colombia, Canada, Japan, Peru, Norway, China, Argentina, South Korea, Cambodia, Brazil and Chile, from the following universities:
