Guanajuato, Gto., January 27, 2016.- The University of Guanajuato was part of the evaluating team for the "Premio Estatal de Vivienda 2015", who is in charge of examining each one of the participating projects in accordance with the established criteria and dictate the results in each category.

UG's General Rector, Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino, assisted in representation of all the university community in the award ceremony, which was held at the Convention Center in Guanajuato.

In his intervention, the Governor of the state of Guanajuato, Lic. Miguel Márquez Márquez, thanked the University's participation in this project and reaffirmed the importance of an educational institution such as UG, to collaborate with initiatives that raise the quality of life of people.

The "Premio Estatal de Vivienda" is organized by the "Comisión de Vivienda del estado de Guanajuato" and the "Cluster de Vivienda del estado de Guanajuato" and has the objective to offer better housing solutions for the families in Guanajuato and believe environments that raise the quality of life of people.

David Luján Leal; President of the State's Supreme Court, Magister Miguel Valadez Reyes; President of the Honorable State's Congress, Deputy Rigoberto Paredes Villagómez; Canadevi vice-president, Lic. Mario Medrano Lozano; Secretary of Social and Human Development in the State of Guanajuato, Lic. Diego Sinhué Rodríguez Vallejo; participant of the category of research work on housing and its environment, María Teresa Sánchez Pérez González; delegate of the Secretary of Government of the State, Lic. Javier Aguirre Vizzuett; General Director of the Housing Commission of the state of Guanajuato, Eng. Adrián Peña Miranda.
