Guanajuato, Gto., February 1, 2016.- The University of Guanajuato (UG), as an institution engages with society, collaborates with INAEBA ("Insituto de Alfabetización y Educación Básica para Adultos), through responsible and regulated work of students, professors, UG's social services coordinators and High School College (CNMS for its acronym in Spanish).

Throughout last year, the activities made by the collaborators of this agreement, allowed to incorporate 3, 750 students to INAEBA's study circles.

This initiative has the objective to address and prevent illiteracy and the educational setback of the state of Guanajuato, and since the beginning –July 2013—the students set in motion their organization skills, leadership, creativity and group handling, applied to a real context which allows them the acquisition of a formative experience.

From this collaboration emerges the Social Service program "Atención y prevención del analfabetismo y el rezago educativo del estado de Guanajuato" (Attention and prevention of illiteracy and the educational setback in the state of Guanajuato), same that is directed to undergraduates and high school students.

This program has the participation of the Directors of Link if INAEBA, the Direction of Link of UG, the Coordinator of Link and Social Service from CNMS from UG and the Coordinators of the Social Service at Campuses Leon, Celaya-Salvatierra and Irapuato-Salamanca.

It is important to mention that in 2015, the University of Guanajuato placed itself as the main provider or social service, since it collaborated with a total of 1,118 students (271 from High school and 847 from different degrees), which means that the 51.2% of the total social service providers with INAEBA.

Undergraduate and high school students who are interested in participating can join being one of the three solidary figures renowned by INAEBA: promotor, deputy assistant and exam applicator.
