León, Gto., February 2, 2016.- The Division of Social Sciences and Human Studies of Campus Leon of the University of Guanajuato (UG) will carry on August 24 to 26 the 3rd Biennial "Territorios en Movimiento" under the topics "Poder, Cultura y Desarrollo".
The event is open for students, professors and researchers of Social Sciences who as a result of their work will have the opportunity to participate in the publication of an e-book with the same title of the biennial; "Territorios en Moviemento, Poder, Cultura y Desarrollo" (Territories in Movement, Power, Culture and Development); edited by the University of Guanajuato.
The summon to participate and send papers and extracts is open and will close on March 4th. The main objective of this biennial is to promote the diffusion and discussion of research results and the theoretical debate in the different disciplines of Social Sciences and Human Studies through twelve work tables:
1. Technology and Innovation for the sustainability of smarter cities, 2. Business strategies of the automotive industry in Mexico, 3. Government and Society in negotiation of the environment and natural resources, 4. Internal and external migration, 5. Vulnerability, violence and risk behaviors, 6. Youth trajectories and transitions in inequality contexts, 7. Men and women work: Holdbacks, challenges and defiance, 8. Traditions in movement, Emerging dynamics in cultural practice, 9. Art, culture and society, 10. Citizenship, un-citizenship and re-citizenship processes in Mexico and Latin America, 11. New paradigms in the democratic processes in Mexico and Latin America, 12. Memory and oblivion: past, silences, debts and oblivion in the social construction of memory.
Among the guest speakers we can find Dr. Alicia Ziccardi, researcher of the "Instituto de Investigaciones Sociales" from the "Universidad Autónoma de México (UNAM)", Dr. Nelson Portillo; head professor at Boston College, Dr. José Manuel Pedrosa Bartolomé who is head professor at the "Universidad de Alcalá de Henares", philologist and folklorist.
