
Guanajuato, Gto., February 8, 2016.- With the objective to concrete an agreement and generate a link in the research level, postgraduate studies and studies for high school students, the University of Guanajuato (UG) and the National Institute of Technology, Tsuruoka University, Japan, gathered to explore a possible academic collaboration.
In representation of the General Rector of UG, Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino, UG's Academic Secretary, Dr. José Luis Lucio Martínez, expressed the interest to make an agreement that would allow the academic formation for the students and the realization of collaborations in research.
Likewise, he reinforced the importance of unifying topics of interest for both institutions, because it is fundamental to extend this collaboration –currently in Campuses Guanajuato and Salamanca—because in other locations, they are interested in what the Tsuruoka College handles such as Biomedical Engineering, Information, Environment, among others.
UG's Academic Secretary pointed that the UG is analyzing the terms and details of the collaboration program previously handed in by the authorities of the Tsuruoka University.
From the Tsuruoka College, Japan, assisted the President of the National Institute of Technology, Tsuruoka College, Dr. Yasushi Kato; Director if International Liaison Office, Dr. Kiyoshi Uchiyama; head of Mechanical Engineering course, Eiji Toma.
From the University of Guanajuato were also present the Director of Academic Cooperation, Dr. Sergio Antonio Silva Muñoz; Director of High School College (CNMS), QFB. Martha Oliva Gallaga Ortega; CNMS' Academic Secretary, Dr. Jesús Raúl Lugo Martínez.
