
Guanajuato, Gto., February 9, 2016.- With the purpose to strengthen the current agreement between the University of Guanajuato (UG) and Hiroshima University, authorities from both universities gather to generate the extension of the program for academic collaboration.
Representing UG's General Rector, Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino, UG's Pro Vost, Dr. Héctor Efraín Rodríguez de la Rosa, reinforced the commitment from the University to continue with the collaboration they have between both institutions.
Hiroshima University is one of the universities with great prestige and academic quality in Japan, by covering a large quantity of study areas that include engineering and health sciences; in addition, they have kept a tight relationship with UG's Division of Engineering from Campus Irapuato-Salamanca.
In an interview, UG's Director of Academic Cooperation, Dr. Sergio Antonio Silva Muñoz, expressed that this extension allows offering students and professors at UG, consulting services and professional support to the Japanese businesses located in the state, mainly Mazda.
It is important to mention that at the meeting was commented that in March this year, the Direction of Academic Cooperation, will make a visit to Hiroshima University to make adjustments in administrative matters, and achieve the possibility to increase the student mobility between these universities.
From the Japanese institution, were present the Vice-president of Hiroshima University and the person in charge of the Cooperative Center for Collaborative Research and Community, Dr. Takashi Takata and the Professor of the Cooperative Center for Collaborative Research and Community, Dr. Hirami Nakaotaka.
At the gathering assisted, also from UG, the Coordinator of International Agreements (Europe, Asia and North America), M. Virginie Sophie Pautrat.
