Guanajuato, Gto., February 9, 2016. Authorities from the University of Guanajuato (UG), led by the General Rector, Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino, visited the Innovation Park La Salle where he confirmed the intention to extend the collaboration bridges between both universities, so the joint projects have a greater impact on society.

The universities, sustained Dr. Guerrero Agripino, must have the capability to collaborate with other sister institutions, "in the understanding that is how we have more growth and development possibilities, but also to influence in our environment, in society to which we owe", he remarked.

He considered that the success possibilities of an Innovation Park depend on their capability to link with other institutions, reason why the held the visit of UG's authorities to the space started by La Salle represents a great opportunity for both institutions, since they have the common objective to support innovation, entrepreneurship and everything it implies.

On his behalf, the Rector of "Universidad de La Salle Bajío", M. Andrés Govela Gutierrez thanked the interest of UG's authorities in this project that seeks to boost the sustainable economic development, but with emphasis on social responsibility.

In his message, M. Govela, who also acts as President of the "Comisión Estatal para la Planeación de la Educación Superior (COEPES)", expressed his recognition to UG, "a strong state university of quality", that throughout their history has maintained the humanist calling.

At the event, Innovation Park directors presented the objectives for this project, among them highlighted the boost for entrepreneurship, innovation and knowledge management.

Afterwards. There was a tour of the facilities, where also participated: UG's Academic Secretary, Dr. José Luis Lucio Martínez; Rector of Campus Leon, Dr. Carlos Hidalgo Valadez; Director of Support for Research and Postgraduate; Dr. Mauro Napsiciale Mendivil and Director of Linking, Dr. Salvador Hernández Castro.

From La Salle assisted the Director of the Innovation Park La Salle, Dr. Francisco Villareal; Director of Entrepreneurship, M. Luis Cabrera Jiménez; Director of Knowledge Management, Dr. Pedro Luis López de Alba and Entrepreneurship Manager, M. Heber Sosa González.
