The first will occur this Friday, February 19th at 08:30 pm, as was announced at a press conference by OSUG's Director, M. Roberto Beltrán Zavala, who also highlighted that the concert will be special having the presence of Shari Mason as a soloist, Mexican violinist and current first violin of the National Symphonic Orchestra.

M. Beltrán Zavala highlighted that OSUG will interpret an exceptional play, the "Symphony No. 7" of Anton Bruckner, Austrian composer and organist. To play such symphony, OSUG will be accompanied by four Wagner tubas –unlikely common instrument that fusions the sounds of trombone and tuba--, that will be played by guest musicians. It is important to mention that there are only 7 seven Wagner tubas in Mexico and at OSUG's concert, the crowd will be pleased to hear this instrument.

On her behalf, Director of Cultural Extension of the University of Guanajuato, Dr. Sara Julsrud, mentioned the tight collaboration between UG and IEC, and that is because these institutions have a common goal, extend the culture to all places and people.

In the same tune, IEC's Director, Dr. Juan Alcocer Flores, reiterated the commitment of approaching society through cultural events, in this case through OSUG concerts, one the orchestral ensembles with great prestige in the country with a solid international projection.
