Guanajuato, Gto., February 16, 2016.- From February 17 to 19, in the Magnus spaces in Campus Guanajuato in Marfil, the "VI Coloquio Internacional sobre Pensamiento Complejo" (VI International Colloquium on Complex Thinking), encounter hosted by the Department of Philosophy of the Division of Social Sciences and Human Studies (DCSH).
As Dr. Rodolfo Cortés del Moral explained, Director of the Department of Philosophy, the concept of "complex thinking" began negotiating in the mid 80's, and began generalizing in natural science, particularly in biology, embryology, and then extended to physics, social sciences and even administrative sciences.
The concept "complex", related to the complexity or difficult to understand, retook its original sense and went to signify a new perspective to design the human being, nature and our relationship with her, in such way, that today the term assigns a comprehension of the world as an entity where everything is intertwined.
Dr. Cortés del Moral observed, that in contrast with has been happening in contemporary science, every time more immerse in this specialized process; the complexity is a re-articulation movement and establishment of new links, beyond the disciplines, that gives place precisely to that, a form of interlocution that justifies the word transdisciplinary.
In this matter, the task within this framework that Philosophy must fulfill is precisely manifest that reality itself is intrinsically complex, since before XX century, it was thought that the world was formed of particles that combined gave place to all entities and relations that create nature, but, today we know, as it was said in the moment by Edgar Morin, French philosopher and sociologist, that reality is composed of layers of crescent complexity.
On this base, they seek to assure the surge of a new interlocution between the lines of research between the disciplinary fields of science and human studies; without demonizing the specialties, because knowledge could not advance if not specializing, but that makes the contemporary thought to create new forms of synthesis and integration, that allow both the scientist as the humanist, to have a vision that feeds on the emerging knowledge and do not atrophy and get lost in the fields.
The purpose then of these colloquiums, finalized Dr. Rodolfo Cortés, is to propitiate this exchange, beyond the interest of each specialty, that as to do with the development of a new mentality, and not with the disappearance of specialties, but place them in a network of exchanges and enriching dialogues.
Equally, at the colloquium will be presented the IV volume published about complex thinking, a memory of the previous encounter; while in this year, they expect the participation of researchers, besides philosophy, from physics, sociology, management and law, from the University of Guanajuato as from UNAM, UAM and other universities inside the Mexican republic and even foreign researchers.
