Guanajuato, Gto., February 17, 2016.- With the purpose to strengthen the educational quality of the History degree of the Division of Social Sciences and Human Studies in Valenciana from the University of Guanajuato (UG), there was a reception ceremony from the technical committee of the "Consejo para la Acreditación de Programas Educativos en Humanidades" (COAPEHUM).

The event occurred in the auditorium of such location, enclosure in which students, scholars and university authorities were present and began the evaluation activities for the accreditation process of the History degree.

At the ceremony, in representation of UG's General Rector, Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino, Pro Vost, Dr. Héctor Efraín Rodríguez de la Rosa, recognized the relevance that the committee is composed of people sensible of the process of an educational program and thanked the contributions the committee has made for the institutional reality to which they belong.

In his message, the President of COAPEHUM, Dr. Roberto Hernández Oramas, reinforced the importance of the accreditations in the academic doing, because it is fundamental in the formation of future professionals, think and analyze the program they work with, to jointly, achieve progress and growth of the same.

In such accreditation they evaluate aspects such as the indicators on the professional labor, the educational and research labors of the teaching staff, statistics about the school trajectories of the students, enrollment, graduation and degree indexes; participation in academic, cultural and sporting events; and the labor fields and social necessities of the degree graduates.

In the event were present the Director of the Division of Social Sciences and Human Studies, Campus Guanajuato, Dr. Aureliano Ortega Esquivel; Director of the Department of History, Dr. César Federico Macías Cervantes; as well as members that compose the committee.
