León, Gto., February 22, 2016.- Within the commemoration of the International Mother Language Day, in the University of Guanajuato, Campus Leon, was presented the book "Seguimos Caminando" (We keep walking) of the Group Tlioli Ja'Intercultural.

In the event, the attendees knew from their own voice the testimonies of two students from Campus Leon: Bajudh Tsalap Rodríguez Fernández and Marco Antonio Rodríguez Torres, who are in the eighth semester of the Social Anthropology degree, discipline that has allowed them to make big cultural contributions inside and outside of the University of Guanajuato.

The book has the objective to show the dynamics of the indigenous youth population of the city of Leon and the state of Guanajuato, besides favoring identity processes and human development parting from the own cultural heritage.

The group Tlioli Ja'Intercultural collaborates with the youth offering them workshops, talks and expos to benefit their integration process and development, and through the book "Seguimos Caminando", they provide a space in which their testimonies are stamped in the social dynamic in the city of Leon.

The work's presentation happened in San Carlos, Campus Leon in the building of Social Sciences and Human studies. It was in charge of Lic. Mauricio Martínez, member of the Group Tlioli Ja'Intercultural, accompanied by Dr. Ivy Jasso Jacaranda and Dr. Felipe Canuto Castillo, professors of the Academic Body "Actors and Emerging Dynamics" from the Department of Social Studies.

At the end of the presentation, they projected seven animated shorts of the renowned designer Gabriela Badillo, in which through indigenous people they tell the importance of taking care of nature and the universe, narrated in indigenous languages.

"I have new perspectives on my origins, you have to know the linguistic diversity and value it, that is a decision of each one of us" commented Bajudh Tsalap Rodríguez. On his behalf, Marco Antonio Rodríguez Torres indicated that the group has allowed him to value his roots, besides taking as a reference the activities of the group for the development of his thesis.

Both young men will formally begin their research for the degree in Social Anthropology and have as a reference to have participated in this book.
