protocolo-contra-violencia-comite-equidad-genero-universidad-guanajuato-ug

Guanajuato, Gto., February 22, 2016.- At a work session, members of the Institutional Committee on Equity and Gender of the University of Guanajuato (UG) defined the priority axis of action and the strategies that will be implemented to guarantee the protection of the members of the House of Studies.

In representation of all the university community, UG's General Rector, Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino, called the committee members to work and concrete in short and medium terms their goals and considered that the first should be the publication of a protocol to prevent and address gender violence in the institution.

He also reminded that the posture of the committee members must be open "we open ourselves in the community to strengthen the equity topic", he emphasized.

For it, UG's Institutional Committee on Equity and Gender will extend its points of view calling everybody who has carried out research about the perspective of gender and seek to begin projects on that content. They also expect to have the contribution of researchers from all the state and parts of the country, to learn from the experiences of other institutions that have addressed the topic.

It is worth to remember that such committee is composed of directors, professors, students and administrative personnel of the House of Studies, who made teams to work in six axes: institutional instruments for the prevention and treatment of gender violence, institutional liaison, diffusion and socialization; training, information and institutional diagnosis; studies and academic collaboration.
